Six-Word Memoir

"For sale: baby shoes, never worn."
-Ernest Hemingway

The above is thought to have been written by Hemingway after being challenged to write a six-word memoir. In my Content Area Reading and Writing class today, the professor had us each write our own memoir in six words. She also had us watch [this] silly little video for examples.

Such big ideas can be expressed in so little words. I think that it is a lovely concept and challenge, so I am going to make it a regular occurrence to write a six-word memoir. I am going to request you to do the same, whether on Facebook, Twitter, or your blog. Link it back to me - I want to read it! It could be about your life, your week, your day, your lunch, you. Whatever.
